Very very poor & arrogant behaviour of lobby office staff

We checked in on 19.08.23 & left for a function in the evening handing over the key (Room No. 205) at the lobby desk. When we came back, lobby desk was managed by night duty staff & he said the key is not there & we had not given the key to the lobby office. We were quite sure that the key was handed over & pleaded to search the same on the table, drawer etc. But the staff refused & kept on saying that the key was not given. We asked for the master key which he said is not available & did not escalate the matter to the Manager. Finally we ourselves searched on the table/rack & located the key. after suffering for an hour. The staff even did not say a word of sorry & blamed the day duty staff for misplacing the key. We were a family of two senior citizens, one feeding mother & infant and had terrible time & experience. Never ever recommend to visit this hotel.

Madathil Regency🏢 is located just 600m from Kottiyam Junction🚦 and 9.7km from Kollam Railway Station🚈. A restaurant🍽 and a bar🍻 is attached to this hotel. The rooms are clean and the food is also good✌. They also provide a conventional hall of capacity 700+. Parking🚙 is available in front of the hotel...

We stayed here for 2 days and one night. The stay was awesome. They have great amenities. Their room service was super quick. The room and washroom was super clean. The room was very spacious. Great stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband. The check in process was ok. The room is spacious, has air conditioning, ĺkettle mini fridge etc. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was good. The rooms could do with updating. The towels had stains which was a bit off putting. The iron was leaking and was not fit for purpose. We were on the second floor....the first floor had a restaurant which smelt of yummy food however was a bit overpowering and a nuisance when going out. Staff were friendly and approachable. Located in the middle of Kottiyam where food places and public transport was within easy reach.

I was driving towards Kochi from Trivandrum and wanted a nice and neat place to have breakfast from. The hotel was very clean and the food was very good and prepared fresh. Although it took a bit of time for the food to be ready, overall the experience was good. The staff also were very cordial.
